Steven Bathory-Peeler composes concert music ranging from solos and chamber music to large-scale symphonic works. Highlights from his recent output include the Chamber Symphony (Constellations), the percussion quartet Basic Ideas, Generations (a marimba solo with extended percussion), and Film Score to an Unmade Film (five movements for orchestra). Equally facile in vocal and instrumental idioms he has received commissions and grants from organizations throughout the United States. He is currently Director of Orchestras at Northfield Mount Hermon School in Gill, Massachusetts.

Other works of note: String Quartet No. 2 (Of our Time), The Rain (song for voice, clarinet and piano), 2312 (solo for flute), Dance Music (a 10-minute ballet, scored for chamber orchestra).
